About Sips and Series

Hosted at a private club by the beach in Katama, Sips and Series is the ultimate evening for Classic Land Rover enthusiasts. The Boathouse and Field Club serve as the perfect backdrop for a quintessential New England party, complete with made-to-order food, an open bar, and live music.

Join us this year as we raise the bar even further with special guest Mike Bishop, joining us all the way from the United Kingdom to host an exclusive presentation. As a notable historian and author of They Found Our Engineer, Bishop will share insights into the early days of the Solihull Land Rover factory—from its sale as a farm in the 1920s, to its transformation into a WWII Shadow Factory, and ultimately into one of the world’s most iconic car plants. Bishop also worked on the Defender Celebration Tour in 2015-2016, celebrating the end of Defender production through a variety of interesting experiences. One of which, included a recreation of the 1948 Solihull Production line remembering the nearly 70 years of production. We are thrilled to welcome Mike to this year’s event!

The majority of events throughout the weekend will take place on the eastern side of the island, specifically in Edgartown and Oak Bluffs. Full details will be posted at a later date
